Woodend House is full of quirks, atmosphere and history.  It is relaxed and unpretentious; a place where you can feel comfortable enough to kick off your shoes and put your feet up in the warm family sitting room.  There is one double and one twin room, both ensuite and another twin room with bathroom and shower adjacent.  All have stunning views of the gardens and river. In the kitchen only seasonal, fresh produce from the garden and locality, when available, is used.  Each day starts with a cooked breakfast, porridge, free range eggs from the hens in the garden, homemade bread, jams and marmalades. There are some popular local restaurants and pubs a short drive away or if you feel you cannot bear to leave Woodend, dinner can be arranged in the house.  Miranda is a first class cook and there are excellent suppliers of organic chicken, lamb, Aberdeen angus beef and of course venison and game when in season. Bookings must be for a minimum of 2 nights.
